Kayla Guevara is a civil litigator focused on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. A Houston native and fluent Spanish speaker, she works closely with the firm’s partners to form a powerful team that blends experience and aggressive advocacy with compassion and client-centered care.
The daughter of Hispanic immigrants, Kayla witnessed her father work across multiple trades, including as a machinist in the oil and gas industry, a construction contractor, and later a commercial truck driver.
She also helped her father establish and run a logistics company. These experiences shaped her deep understanding and respect for the Hispanic community and blue-collar workers, fueling her passion for standing up for personal injury clients.
Kayla earned her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Houston in just two years, graduating with highest honors. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2024, where she served on the Moot Court team, was selected for the prestigious and nationally recognized Immigration Clinic, and clerked for the Department of Justice, drafting opinions.
Recognized for her academic excellence, Kayla was consistently named to the Dean's List and awarded multiple merit-based scholarships, several by faculty nomination, including the Dean's Award in 2023.
At Pierce Skrabanek, Kayla is committed to building strong client relationships and delivering strategic, impactful results.
